Financial Structure

The Werribee District Hospital Charitable Foundation comprises two separate funds, each supporting Wyndham's public
hospital services.

Werribee District Hospital Charitable Foundation No. 1

Income tax exempt in relation to its net earnings and gifts are tax deductible for donors.

Werribee District Hospital Charitable Foundation No. 2
Income tax exempt in relation to its net earnings but gifts to this foundation are not tax deductible.

Foundation No. 2 provides the Trustee with broader powers of investment than No. 1, as capital from Foundation No. 2 may be used for any project aimed at improving the standard of services in Wyndham's public hospitals.

As a result of judicious investment, the income generated from investments has been sufficient to enable Foundation No. 2 to achieve its goals without reducing the original capital.

In fact, the accumulation of income generated from investments and the adding to the capital base over the years has ensured a steadily increasing amount of money available.

Potential donors are invited to discuss the benefits of each fund with the Directors of the Trust, or consult their financial planner or accountant.
